The CCI delegation which participated in the biennial conference of BRICS Competition Authorities comprised Mr. Devender Kumar Sikri, Chairperson, Mr. Augustine Peter, Member, Ms. Smita Jhingran, Secretary and Mr. K.P.Anand, Deputy Director (Law). In addition, 3 Non Government Advisers (NGAs) also participated in this conference. The theme of the conference was Towards a Successful Second Decade of Cooperation.
In the Conference, Chairperson spoke in the plenary session on ‘Competition Developments in the BRICS’.  
Mr. Augustine Peter, Member moderated one of the plenary sessions on ‘Competition and Public Procurement’ and participated as a speaker in another session on topic ‘International Cooperation and Competition Policy’. 
Secretary, CCI made presentation in two sessions on ‘Public Interest Issues in Competition’ and ‘Inter-agency Cooperation in the Analysis of International Mergers’. 
Mr. K.P. Anand made a presentation on ‘The use of Intelligence Techniques in the Fight Against Cartels’.
Mr. Amitabh Kumar, NGA moderated the session on ‘Instruments of BRICS Competition Cooperation: Results and Perspectives’ and made presentation on ‘Market Power and State-Owned Enterprises’ in another session.
Mr. Karan Singh Chandhiok, NGA made a presentation on ‘Competition in the Digital Era’ and actively participated in the panel discussion.
